Volvo Irish Commercials

2100m² Three-storey office adjoining 6000m² workshops. 30metres clear spaning steel portal frames in the workshops give the client the flexibility required. The offices are constructed using larges span beams with composite concrete floors with Tegral external cladding used throughout the building.
Providence House - Blanchardstown Corporate Park

This 1,900m² office development comprised of the structural and civil engineering design documentation and supervision of a three storey freestanding steel framed building over concrete transfer structure and basement. The façade consists of high spec curtain walling and kingspan cladding.
An air tightness value of 4.9 was achieved in accordance with Part L of the Building Regulations.

Westway Terminals Hibernian Ltd.

Fahy Fitzpatrick were employed by Dublin City Council as Project Managers and Civil/Structural Engineers for the construction of a new molasses storage and distribution tank farm together with pump and pipeline facilities for loading/unloading ships.
Scope of work included obtaining planning permission, carrying out and Environmental Assessment of the site, compliance with Health & Safety Legislation, compliance with Dublin Port Company requirements, compliance with Dublin City Council requirements, design and supervision of all Civil & Structural works including concrete bunding, tenders & assessment of contractors, supervision of all works at Project Management level, construction of 10 new tanks and associated buildings including pump house, blend room and loading gantry, Installation of all new pipe work & electrics, construction of the ship pipeline from Berth to the Depot (approx 900m) including under and over ground construction, commissioning of the Depot and pipeline

Plaza 254, 255, 256, Blanchardstown Corporate Park 2, Dublin

These Plaza developments comprise of the structural and civil engineering design documentation and supervision of three separate four-storey freestanding steel framed 3,400m² corporate-style headquarters/ office buildings with external precast concrete piers, reinforced concrete lift shaft and composite metal deck floors. The façade consists of high spec curtain walling with spider glazing to the front entrance and atrium roof. The occupiers can avail of instant telecommunications access; fibre optic, copper & wireless technologies; telehouse/ data centre facilities and bandwidth enabled building
Restaurant/Creche Blanchardstown

This crèche and restaurant services the busy Blanchardstown Corporate Park in Dublin.
It features a cylindrical shaped central hub with glazed roof-light over the restaurant dining area.
The building is essentially steel framed but fuses together many materials including pre-cast concrete floors, insitu concrete foundations & band beams, timber joists, masonry infill panels, curtain wall glazing and cold formed roof sections to form a stunning yet functional building.
Block 1 Blanchardstown Corporate Park, Dublin

Block 1, Blanchardstown Corporate Park is a plush 4-storey office block incorporating 90° wings meeting at a feature circular service area. The façade features a large expanse of glazing which is broken at floor and roof level with architectural cladding. The building is constructed over a reinforced concrete basement car park, with a structural steel frame supporting prestressed concrete floor slabs. The central lift & stair cores provide stability.
Harcourt Street Development

This building is a striking landmark structure occupying a prominent location in Dublin City Centre. The building is five storeys over a basement and features a curved glazed front façade. The basement is constructed from reinforced concrete walls, columns and beams and uses piled foundations under the heaviest loads. A reinforced concrete transfer slab over the basement supports the steel columns of the main building over. The floors above the basement are composite steel and concrete design utilising metal deck and steel cellular beams across the largest spans. A proprietary glazing system was erected to the front while the cladding to the rear is a pre-cast concrete panel incorporated into the structure.

Fahy Fitzpatrick were engaged by Paddy Power PLC in 2005 to aid them in their continued expansion by opening new betting offices in suitable existing premises in towns and cities throughout Ireland. Our services include appraisal of existing buildings, which allows them to determine the viability of refurbishing and fitting out the premises to suit their needs; structural design of temporary and permanent structures to give them the largest and most user friendly shop floor space possible; coupled with engineering consultancy and architectural advice on the maintenance of their existing premises.

Large Distribution centre later leased to Superquinn Ltd. consisting of 10,700m² of distribution warehouse with 9000m² of administrative offices over two storeys. 3-bay steel portal frame design spanning 33m per bay; super-flat flooring, chill stores, 34 no. Dock levellers and loading bays.

A mixed use development of 4 & 5 storeys including retail, offices and apartments over a single storey basement car park
The basement was formed using a secant piled wall tied into the basement suspended slab. The structure consists of long span (9m) cell form steel beams and composite metal deck. This enabled the high level of services to be integrated into the structural floor zones.
The elevations consist of brick faced precast concrete insulated panels that are fixed to the steel frame. Simply insulated stud walling was provided behind these to finish the façade.

A development of 3 & 4 storey office blocks constructed over 2 storeys of basement car parking. Large quantities of granite rock were excavated to facilitate the works. The two levels of basement were constructed using reinforced concrete beams and columns supported on pad foundations. A reinforced concrete transfer structure at ground floor level supports the office buildings above, which consist of pre-cast floor units supported on a steel frame. The external elevations of the building were constructed from a combination of reconstituted stone cladding panels and glazing and the large glazed roof structure was supported on bowstring trusses.
